This interdisciplinary study across anthropology and public health focuses upon the mobilities of patients to Southern Africa for assisted reproduction treatment (ART) and mobility of ova providers, gametes, embryos and medical staff across Africa and to and from Australia.

Assisted Reproduction Research in Southern Africa
Assisted Reproduction Research in Southern Africa is a research project based at Monash University in Victoria, Australia and at The University of the Witwatersrand in Gauteng, Johannesburg. The researchers on the team are Prof. Andrea Whittaker (Primary Chief Investigator) (Monash University Dr. Karen, Hammarberg ( CI ) (Monash University) Prof. Lenore, Manderson (PI) (Monash university and University of the Witwatersand) and Prof. Trudie Gerrits (PI) (University of Amsterdam). Dr Tessa Moll (University of the Witwatersrand) is the Post. Doc on the project. Cal Volks (Monash University) is the RA.
